"Wild Bill vs Dave Tutt"

by Wild Bill Blackerby, Deadhead, & Piney Woods

Scenario
Hollywood has many times portrayed a gunfight on the street between two men. In fact this was a rare event but the premise is based on an incident in Springfield, MO, between Wild Bill Hickok and Dave Tutt.

During a poker game James Butler Hickok found himself in debt to his friend Dave Tutt. They debated the actual amount owed and eventually Hickok gave over his watch to Tutt as collateral, warning him not to show it around. The next evening, Hickok saw Tutt walking in the Public Square wearing his watch, and called for him to stop. While still 75 yards apart, they both drew their pistols, firing at what seemed the same instant. Tutt spun around, took a few steps towards the Courthouse, and fell dead - shot thru the heart.

Ammo
11 Pistol, 4+ shotgun

Starting Position
Seated at a table with a deck of cards, two pistols safely staged on table loaded with five rounds each, at least one more round on your person.

Shotgun safely staged on table, at least four shotshells on your person.

Procedure
When ready, shout "Got the time, Dave?".

At the buzzer, remain seated, turn over one card and engage each playing card target, in any order, starting and ending with the indicated suit target.

Turn over another card, and repeat with second pistol.

Gunfighters: At the buzzer, while remaining seated, turn over two cards, and engage the four targets with five rounds in any order, starting and ending with the suit of the first turned-over card. Again engage the four targets with five rounds in any order, starting and ending with the suit of the second turned-over card.

Stand up and engage each shotgun target twice, alternating targets between shots.

Load one pistol round and engage the long-range target. If you hit it, you'll get a 10 second bonus.
(This shot is supposed to represent Hickok's famous 75-yard pistol shot in his duel with Dave Tutt, so the bonus target should be torso-sized and placed w-a-a-a-y out there.)
