"Bear on the Loose"

by Piney Woods

Scenario
An old grizzly has moved into the area and has been preyin' on your stock. Saddlin' up Lulubelle, you ride out to see if you can locate 'im. After ridin' awhile, you spy the bear on the side of a ridge, hunkered down over a fresh-killed calf. Pullin' your trusty rifle, you commence to fire away at the old stock killer.

After emptyin' your gun, you realize there's a bunch of buzzards sittin' up over that bear, just waitin' for their chance at the carcass. You really hate buzzards, so you draw your sixgun and blaze away at 'em.
