"Spit & Quick Shot"

Based on a stage by N A Jennings

Scenario
You're out hunting on your horse with your rifle in hand, when you come across a bunch of hostile Indians. When they spot you they ride up and stop. Things don't look so good.

One of them speaks English and insults you. You act unperturbed and spit out some tobacco juice which momentarily distracts them. There's your chance and you take it, firing your rifle from the hip.

Ammo
5 Pistol, 8 Rifle

Starting Position
Seated on horse with safely holstered strong-side pistol (No crossdraw holsters) loaded with five rounds.

Rifle safely held with butt on your hip, eight rounds in magazine.

Procedure
When ready, spit.

At the buzzer, engage R1 and R2 once each, firing from the hip. (Right-handed shooters engage the right-side R! & R2; left-handed shooters engage the left-side R! & R2.)
Then, firing conventionally from the shoulder, sweep R3-R5 twice from left to right.

Nevada Sweep pistol targets.
